Allen’s Conoco - Commerce, Oklahoma101 South Main Street, Commerce, Oklahoma
This unique station was built in the late 1920s by F.D. Mitchell for the use of travelers along the Jefferson Highway and then newly established Route 66 which shared the route in this area. It is indicated to have been both a Conoco and a Phillips 66 station while operating. There are some local legends that Bonnie and Clyde may have stopped for gas here while in the Commerce area and were responsible for the killing of town constable Cal Campbell. The station was recently repainted by volunteers. Today it is a great place for a photograph along the historic route.

Phillips 66 - Atoka, Oklahoma 415 East Court Street, Atoka, Oklahoma
The Phillips 66 station in Atoka is a classic example of a cottage-style design used by the petroleum company in the 1920s and early 1930s. The station served residents and travelers through Atoka for generations and now has become the Atoka County Chamber of Commerce offices.

Conoco Station - McAlester, Oklahoma 2652 North Main Street, McAlester, Oklahoma
Sitting amidst historic Old Town (or North) McAlester, this Conoco station served the area for many years. The Jefferson Highway and main roads into McAlester once went right in front of this station. It was restored around 2010 and includes vintage gas pumps and a “Hottest Brand Going” sign atop the canopy of the station.

Sinclair Station - Durant, Oklahoma401 West Main Street, Durant, Oklahoma
This station used to be a Sinclair filling station along the Jefferson Highway. Today the building houses Durant’s Three Valley Museum, which features the history of Durant and the surrounding area. This well-restored treasure is a great place to stop along the route.

Marland/Conoco Station - Muskogee, Oklahoma24th and East Okmulgee, Muskogee, Oklahoma
This historic station was built at a critical turn in the Jefferson Highway route in Muskogee. The station was built around 1926 and was originally a Marland Oil Station before Marland merged with Continental Oil. After merging with the oil company, it became a Conoco station in the community. Next door, one can see the original garage building which has been converted into offices. A Jefferson Highway historic sign is to be put up at the property in 2022.

Texaco Station - McAlester, Oklahoma605 South Main Street, McAlester, Oklahoma
This vintage gas station is along the route through McAlester and is indicated to have been a Conoco station. The station ended up being restored as a Texaco Station. One can look through the station's windows and see vintage décor and a figure of a station employee. A Jefferson Highway sticker can be seen on the window of the building.
